REHABACISE AND ONCOLOGY CLINICS VICTORIA (OCV)
Rehabacise has extensive experience working with cancer patients and understands the unique aspects of every patient’s cancer experience.
As the preferred provider of Exercise Physiology services for Oncology Clinics Victoria, our team has extensive experience working with cancer patients to meet their unique exercise requirements.
Exercise should play a part in every cancer treatment plan as it assists in delivery of chemotherapy to affected areas in the body, as well helps reduce side effects and physical deterioration.
Some benefits of structured exercise include:
Reduced Chemo fatigue
Improved quality of life
Increased strength
Maintenance of muscle mass and bone mineral density
Enhanced post-operative recovery
Reduced incidence of depression and other mental states
Improved survivorship rates vs. non exercise groups
GROUP CLASSES
Rehabacise runs specialist exercise classes for cancer patients either going through treatment or during recovery. Classes focus on resistance based exercises, stretching/range of motion, and restoring physical function and well-being.
Classes are concentrated (up to 8 people) and are designed and supervised by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist at their studio in Brighton East. Individual appointments are also available at both our studio and Cabrini Brighton for those who prefer a non-group setting.

“I was referred to Sam by my GP for a number of health issues. I have been under Sam’s care twice a week for 4 months and have managed to reduce my body weight significantly, lower my blood pressure and the strengthen muscles I had forgotten about or never knew existed. – it’s great. Thanks Sam.”
